ACURIL's President greets colleagues and friends and invites them to ACURIL XXXVIII JAMAICA

ASSOCIATION OF CARIBBEAN UNIVERSITY RESEARCH
AND INSTITUTIONAL LIBRARIES

January 2008

Dear Colleagues and Friends:

Greetings from Jamaica! The 38th annual conference of the Association of Caribbean Universtiy, Research and Institutional Libraries will be held at the Rose Hall Resort & Country Club, Montego Bay, Jamaica, from June 1st to June 6th, 2008, hosted by the Library and Information Association of Jamaica (LIAJA).

This year's theme, "the e-librarian, ideas, innovation and inspiration" was chosen to offer participants a forum to share ideas, innovative developments and proactive solutions to the issues and challenges we all face as information professionals working in the e-environment. ACURIL XXXVIII will provide an opportunity to explore the use of e-platforms, tools, processes and applications for information services.

As the President of ACURIL (2007-2008), I invite you to join us, as we seek to identify opportunities to shape the future of Caribbean libraries and other information units. Please visit ACURIL XXXVIII JAMAICA at the National Library of Jamaica <http://www.nlj.org.jm> for further details, or request information through e-mails: acuril38@yahoo.com or acuril38@gmail.com

It will be my pleasure to greet you all in Montego Bay.

Cordially,
Adele Merritt Bernard
President (2007-2008)
